“Watching Gray Turn to Black” 

(1 Corinthians 8:1-13)

I. Are we more interested in building or inflating? (1 Corinthians 8:1-3)

  1. There is knowledge that leads to pride, and there is knowledge that leads to love.
  2. Realize your knowledge is limited at best.
  3. The greatest knowledge we can have is that we are known by God.

II. The issue and the truth. (1 Corinthians 8:4-6)

III. Watching your gray area turn to black. (1 Corinthians 8:7-13)

  1. It’s not just about what you know, it’s about what others may not know.
  2. Knowledge turns into wisdom when we consider how it might affect others.
  3. Our knowledge can lead to spiritual destruction.
  4. Our gray area becomes black when we cause others to stumble.
  5. We must be more committed to Christ than we are our freedoms.
