(Nehemiah 5:1-13)
The whole assembly said, “Amen,” and they praised the Lord.
Then the people did as they had promised.
I. Understanding the biblical concept of the vow. (Numbers 30:1-2)
- Covenant – an agreement made between God and man.
- Vow – an agreement made between man and God.
- Oath – an agreement made between man and man.
II. Understanding the seriousness of our vows.
- Think seriously about what your vow will be before you make it. (Judges 11:20-21)
- Do not make a vow that you cannot keep. (Ecclesiastes 5:4-6)
